OK, so I’ve been remiss in keeping tabs on DP, but that’s only because I’ve been obsessing over the Mets. The entire month has been like this and I’m not sure how I will make it through the last five games of the season, much less October — should we get there. It’s never over until the Fat Lady sings, and right now she’s not even into her warm-up yet.
But DP’s counter is now down to 5 days (well, 4 days and some hours, minutes, and seconds), so it’s time to allow our thoughts to stray from the diamond. In thinking about DP’s return, this is the song that popped into my head; not much of a video, although I do kind of like the ’70s psychedelic flavor.
I too have been distracted a bit with the Padres, though I have been keeping tabs on DP through his site and Google alerts (I have come to loathe the State Senator from Texas with the same name).
That song is much more suited to Dan than ketchup. :)

Not sure I’m up for DP in the morning but it makes sense for him to be out there first thing each day. He’ll overlap some Mike&Mike show and some Cowherd, which is not bad since he doesn’t appeal to the same audience at those shows. Surprised they haven’t hyped his new show more this week. THey might not have all their ducks in a row.
