Well, you can’t say that DP’s not milking this for all it’s worth.

I was driving around during lunch when the show came on. It took me a few seconds to recognize Bobby V’s voice. That elicited an “Uh-oh” from me, as Bob subbed for Dan in the recent past. Perhaps it was an audition to take over DP’s time slot? He said he’d be back tomorrow, so DP’s got the 4th of July off. Now we have to wait until Thursday or Friday for The Big Announcement.

Here’s a little something I found on Mind Hacks that can help occupy our time while we wait for Dan to tell us:

• He’s leaving his wife to run off with Jessica Alba, or
• He’s leaving ESPN to join Keith on Countdown, or
• He’s leaving ESPN to join the NBA, because as we all know: White Boy Can Shoot.

It’s not like I was sitting in the tub like Archimedes, but I just had a Eureka Moment regarding DP’s Big Announcement.

The annual V Foundation auction has begun with the live auction scheduled for 11 July.

What am I bid for an ESPN Radio experience with DP and KO at the ESPN Zone in New York City?

I actually emailed this suggestion in last year.

(Personally, I’d go for the New York Mets experience, but only if they throw in an autographed Rick Peterson jacket. With some titanium in the pockets.)
