Samir cruised through Round 3, spelling “trumpery” — which has something to do with Donald Trump, I think.
Round 4 in progress.

Poor Kevin Lotharp of Bel Air, Maryland was eliminated in the third round, striking out on “palaver,” DP’s Word of the Month courtesy of NBA commissioner David Stern.
(In case you’re tired of listening to DP talk about Kobe Bryant on today’s show.)
Samir has advanced to the quarterfinals, having passed Round 1 (a written test) and Round 2 (correctly spelling the word “decor” — man, talk about a can of corn). Samir is contestant #247. The quarterfinals consist of Rounds 3 and 4; if Samir can get through these two rounds he will advance to tomorrow’s semifinals, which will be on ESPN from 10am-1pm ET.
Let’s Go Samir!
