rrgirl contributes in Jesus Loves Me. Yes, I Know.:
it took a while to find this, and while the quality is poor, the video has a sweetness you’ll never see in a studio recording or concert:
Wow! What a great song! Thanks for sending the link. The video makes it feel like I’m in the livingroom with them. Most excellent.
As regards God:
Pascal’s Gambit states that it is better to believe in God than not because if you believe in God and He exists then when you die you’re in Fat City, but that if He doesn’t exist then you don’t really lose anything. Conversely, if you don’t believe in God and He does exist then you’re, like, screwed; if you don’t believe in Him and He doesn’t exist then it doesn’t matter.
The way I see it: if God exists that’s fine, but if He doesn’t, I’m cool with that, too. Einstein said God does not play dice with the Universe, but to me if we are all here just by accident then it makes each of us that much more miraculous and should inspire and compel us to live the best life we possibly can.
It’s too bad I got us kicked out of Sunday School. It was like we had one foot in the Kingdom of Heaven, and then were asked to leave. But that’s left me to decide for myself what I want to believe in, and it’s kind of more fun this way.
NB: If you wind up in purgatory you can expect to see DP and KO there, as KO feels that’s where they are headed for creating the monster called SportsCenter.
Everybody’s wonderin’ what and where they all came from.
Everybody’s worryin’ ’bout where they’re gonna go when the whole thing’s done.
But no one knows for certain and so it’s all the same to me.
I think I’ll just let the mystery be.
Some say once you’re gone you’re gone forever, and some say you’re gonna come back.
Some say you rest in the arms of the Saviour if in sinful ways you lack.
Some say that they’re comin’ back in a garden, bunch of carrots and little sweet peas.
I think I’ll just let the mystery be.
Everybody’s wonderin’ what and where they all came from.
Everybody’s worryin’ ’bout where they’re gonna go when the whole thing’s done.
But no one knows for certain and so it’s all the same to me.
I think I’ll just let the mystery be.
Instrumental break.
Some say they’re goin’ to a place called Glory and I ain’t saying it ain’t a fact.
But I’ve heard that I’m on the road to purgatory and I don’t like the sound of that.
Well, I believe in love and I live my life accordingly.
But I choose to let the mystery be.
Everybody’s wonderin’ what and where they all came from.
Everybody’s worryin’ ’bout where they’re gonna go when the whole thing’s done.
But no one knows for certain and so it’s all the same to me.
I think I’ll just let the mystery be.
I think I’ll just let the mystery be.
