Tony Romo Disowned by African Americans

In further fall-out from his fumble in Sunday’s playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo has been disowned by African Americans.

Claimed for Black America by Michael Irvin after his stellar performance earlier in the season, Romo was dismissed by the Playmaker on the Monday Dan Patrick Show. Said Irvin: “That boy can’t play.”

After being waived by African Americans it was thought that Romo’s option would be picked up by another ethnic group. But even Asian Americans, historically under-represented in the NFL, declined to claim Romo.

“It’s true he had great SAT scores and a high grade-point average at Eastern Illinois,” a spokeperson said, “but the way he juggled that snap? Not worthy of even the Golden Dragon Acrobats junior varsity squad.”

Romo’s option thus reverts to Mexican-, Polish-, and German-Americans, who are proud to have him. Romo also retains membership in the Tuna Group, as he remains a Parcells kind of guy.
